Covolutionary switch

Covolutionary switch is an operational unit satisfying four criteria: distinguish, respond, hold, and couple.

Higher-order switches are defined through Markov-blanketed encapsulation, where lower-level switches become a higher-level unit if internal, blanket, and external states form an operationally closed system.
